Because I'm Family Relations (FR) chair, it would be simply WRONG of me not to use this opportunity to share an AWESOME quote from Celeste (Renata's mom) with you:
"THON has replaced the memories of unpleasant hospital stays and long days of feeling ill with the happy memories of squirt gun battles, playing dress-up, and dance parties. THON has provided a community of love and support that we never imagined could exist and to top it all off THON's commitment to the Four Diamonds Fund has taken the financial strain that may have strangled us and blown it away like dust in the wind. What a heartfelt thing to do, to take away that burden and allow us to consentrate on making our little girl well again. This is a gift for which we are truly grateful!"
And back to New Chairs: On behalf of the Springfield THON 2009 Exec Board, I'd like to thank each and every one of you for your hard work this year. I have LOVED every moment spent with this team and we couldn't have a better group of people working For The Kids. To every person who applied for a chair position this year THANK YOU for the effort you put in to the application and the enthusiasm and passion you showed in your interviews. You made the decision-making process so difficult, but it was definitely worth it in the end and we can't express how grateful we are for your commitment to the team. We chose the candidates who would best suit the interests of the team and hope you agree with our decisions. With no further ado, the Springfield THON 2010 chairs are as follows:

CONGRATULATIONS to all new chairs and thank you again to everyone who applied for the amazing opportunity to work with you this past year. Chair selection was tough, but we did it and can't wait to see the SPARTAN nature of Springfield continue. Can't wait to work with ALL of you (including seniors who WILL visit and tell us about their lives as real people) next year!!
